1. What Wandshot is

Wandshot is a macOS application for capturing, annotating, and editing screenshots. It is designed local first: your captures are created, stored, and edited on your Mac. We do not operate user accounts and we do not provide cloud sync.

2. What we do not collect

Your screenshots, annotations, and edit history never pass through our servers. We do not collect analytics or telemetry from the app, and we do not track how you use it.

3. AI edits and your Gemini key

AI features such as Remove and describe-an-edit run against Google's Gemini API using an API key that you provide. When you run an AI edit, the selected image data and your instruction are sent directly from your Mac to Google. We never see, store, or proxy this data. Google's handling of it is governed by Google's privacy policy and the Gemini API terms.

Your API key is stored in the macOS Keychain and is only ever sent to Google. You can remove it at any time.

4. Purchases

Checkout, delivery, and refunds are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. When you buy Wandshot, Polar processes your payment details and email address to deliver your purchase and receipts. See the Polar privacy policy for details. We receive your email address and order status so we can support you; we never see your payment details.

5. Software updates

The app periodically checks for updates so new versions can be delivered automatically. This request contains no personal data beyond what any web request includes, and we do not log it against you.

6. This website

This website is a static site. It does not set tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date above.
